We were working at the Peabody Coal Mine in Kayenta, Arizona.
Operators Al and George were working around the clock to get the mine operational. Crane Service changed out a conveyor belt. We put 10 spools on and off splicing them together. Each spool weighed in at 35,000 lbs, which held 1500 feet of belt. We hoisted 10 of these spools, which equates to about 3 miles of belt!
