Shown here we have our Manitex 2592 25 ton boomtruck crane, National 9103A 26 ton boomtruck crane and the Linkbelt HTC8675 75 ton crane hoisting a section of 250′ long 6″ steel pipe.
This is a project for Sunland Construction who are working for Kinder Morgan. First they bored a horizontal hole under the full width of I-10. (440′). Then we hoisted the pipe, using special roller cradles while the machine on the other side pulled the first 250′ section through. Then we hoisted the second 250′ section which they then welded to the first section and pulled to completion. This is Phase 1, we return in a week to do the same with 500′ of 8″ pipe.
